How to test the Attendance Tracking Element

You will need to test your Attendance Tracking before you get onsite.

Firstly, this ensures staff know how to use the Track app, test any tracking rules that you may setup, and to confirm your QR codes are scanning correctly. Secondly, testing prior to your event will ensure you have adequate time to make support enquiries.

To test your Attendance Tracking - Staff to Scan:

  1. Download the Attendance Track app
  2. Enter your session details found at Attendance Track > Sessions in the Core
  3. Click ‘Tap to Scan’
  4. Hold the device 20cm away from the badge to scan
  5. If access granted, a tick will appear. If access is not granted, it will shot a red cross.

Please note: each session has its own unique session code. Staff using Track will need to logout and log into each new session.

To test your Attendance Tracking - Self-scanning Station:

  1. Download the Attendance Track app
  2. Enter your session group details found at Attendance Track > Session Groups in the Core
  3. Click ‘Tap to Scan’
  4. Hold the badge / QR code 20cm away from the device to scan
  5. If access granted, a tick will appear. If access is not granted, it will shot a red cross.

To test your Attendance Tracking - Generate Session QR Codes for Attendees to Scan:

  1. Navigate to Attendance Tracking > Sessions from the Navigation Menu
  2. Click the drop-down arrow against the desired session
  3. Click QR Code
  4. Download the zip and print out QR codes for scanning

To test your Attendance Tracking - Attendees to Scan:

  1. Download the app or relevant partner portal
  2. Make sure you accept notifications
  3. If using a partner portal, you will be prompted to enter the Event Code (the Event Code can be found on the Project Dashboard in the Core)
  4. Enter your personal login credentials
  5. Click to open the QR scanner
  6. Hold the device 20cm away from the printed session QR code to scan
  7. If access granted, a tick will appear. If access is not granted, it will shot a red cross.
