Configure Lead Capture - Attendee Self-Scan

Attendee self-scanning with Lead Capture allows attendees to use the event app to scan QR codes/scan points. Each exhibitor will have a dedicated QR code they can display on their booth, and attendees will use the QR scanner on the event app to scan these codes. Attendees MUST be logged into the event app to scan effectively, otherwise, no details will be recorded for the scan.

Attendee self-scanning is a popular choice for passport competitions, tracking attendee flow throughout the venue, seeing which booth is most popular etc.

Please note: The EVENT APP must be purchased to use this method. If you have only purchased Lead Capture, please refer to our other videos for setup instructions.

Key steps to configure Lead Capture for Attendee Self-Scan:

 

Generate Exhibitor QR Codes

To enable attendee self-scanning from the Event App you will need to generate QR codes for each exhibitor.

To generate QR Code for an exhibitor

  1. Navigate to Profiles > Exhibitor Teams from the Navigation Menu
  2. Click the drop-down arrow against the desired exhibitor
  3. Click QR Code
  4. Right click to Save image

To export QR Codes for all exhibitors

  1. Navigate to Profiles > Exhibitor Teams from the Navigation Menu
  2. Click Generate Blank Codes from the right-hand options on the Configuration Panel to populate codes
  3. Click Export Exhibitor QR Codes from the right-hand options on the Configuration Panel
  4. A zip folder of all exhibitor QR codes will download

 

Enable and view scanned status from the event app

When enabled attendees can view their scanned status from the exhibitor page on the event App

To enable viewing

  1. Navigate to App > Settings from the Navigation Menu
  2. Set Show Visited Status on Sessions to Yes

To view

  1. Navigate to Exhibitors on the event App
  2. View Scanned Icon:
    1. Coloured Icon represents attendee scanned with the exhibitor
    2. Grey Icon represents attendee not yet scanned with the exhibitor
