How to configure popup messages

Popup messages can be used to highlight important information to attendees when they navigate to pages in the App. Popups can contain a title, either copy or an image, and can also include a link to another page in the App.

Popup messages can be used to give attendees tips on in-app navigation, show off a sponsored session in the schedule, or welcome attendees to the event.

To create a popup message

  1. Navigate to App > Popup Messages from the Navigation Menu
  2. Click +
  3. Enter a Title
  4. Click Select a Target page. This will be the page the popup message can redirect an attendee to.
  5. Click + Expand
  6. Select your target page
  7. Select a type of popup from the drop-down
    1. Message Allows for the popup Title and some accompanying copy
    2. Image Allows for popup Title and one image
  8. Enter either a message or upload an image
  9. Click Save

To link a popup message to a page

  1. Navigate to Content from the Navigation Menu
  2. Select the page you wish to link the page banner to
  3. Navigate to Page Settings from the right-hand options
  4. Navigate to Popup Message
  5. Select the popup message  from the drop-down options
  6. Select when the popup message with show
    1. Show every time Popup message will appear each time the page is viewed
    2. First view only Popup message will appear on first view of the page
  7. Click Save

To edit a popup message

  1. Navigate to App > Popup Messages from the Navigation Menu
  2. Select the relevant popup message from the list by clicking its title
  3. Update details as required
  4. Click Save

To delete a popup message

  1. Navigate to App > Popup Messages from the Navigation Menu
  2. Click the drop-down arrow on the popup message to be deleted
  3. Click Delete
  4. Confirm by clicking delete
