Messaging Setup

The messaging feature allows attendees to send private in-app messages to one another. While these messages are private and not visible to an event organiser, messaging is a great way to encourage engagement with fellow attendees.

This can be setup to achieve the following:

  1. Attendees can message fellow attendees
  2. Private messages kept between two attendees

Attendees will receive push notifications to their device when a new message is received and can manage their messages using their personal inbox accessed by a dedicated icon or My Event.

The profile list acts as a contact list, and by adding the profile list to App, allows App Users to search other for attendees and send messages.

Profiles that wish to allow messaging will need to be set to  ‘Visible in List’ and ‘Allow messaging’ to send in-app messages. These settings can be managed by the attendee through their profile settings found in My Event.
