How to create speakers

Speakers can be created to appear, not only in the schedule but also a separate speaker listing. When linked, speaker names and a link to their speaker page will appear on the session page.

To create speaker content page type

  1. Navigate to Content from the Navigation Menu
  2. Click Create a New Page from the right-hand options on the Configuration Panel
  3. Select Speakers from the list of page types
  4. Click Create
  5. Enter a Title for your Speaker content page type (your speakers container page)
  6. Click Save

To upload speakers

  1. Navigate to Content from the Navigation Menu
  2. Select your speakers content page type
  3. Click +
  4. Enter a Display Name, Sorting Name (e.g. Last name for sorting in alpha order), Company/Position and About Copy
  5. Click Save

To upload speaker images

  1. Navigate to Content from the Navigation Menu
  2. Select your speakers content page type
  3. Click the empty square next to the relevant speaker
  4. Drag or upload the speaker image into the uploader
  5. Click Save on the uploader

 

How to link speakers

Speakers can be added to a session so they appear in the schedule list view.

To link speakers

  1. Navigate to Content from the Navigation Menu
  2. Select your schedule from the list of pages
  3. Select the applicable schedule day from the horizontal tiles
  4. Select pencil icon for the session you wish to update
  5. Navigate to the Attached Speakers drop-down
  6. Select the speakers associated with the session
  7. Click Save

 

How to link a featured speaker

Featured speakers can be linked to a schedule to display in the schedule session list and separately in the speaker listing on the session page in the event App. The featured speaker’s image will also appear in the schedule session list and can be used to highlight a keynote speaker etc.

To link a featured speaker

  1. Navigate to Content from the Navigation Menu
  2. Select your schedule from the list of pages
  3. Select the applicable schedule day from the horizontal tiles
  4. Select pencil icon for the session you wish to update
  5. Navigate to the Featured Speaker  drop-down
  6. Select the featured speaker associated with the session
  7. Click Save
