Configure Push Notifications

 

 

 To create a push notification

  1. Navigate to App > Push Notifications from the Navigation Menu
  2. Click + Create a Notification
  3. Input Title
  4. Select what type of push notification
    1. Text Enter text with a limit of 2,000 characters. This will appear under the push notification title when opened.
    2. Image Will appear under the title when opened. Recommended size is a width between 400px and 450px and a height of 600px.
  5. Enter text or upload image
  6. Select a Target Page (optional)
  7. Select if this will be sent as a push notification*
    *If not selected, attendees will not be notified the push notification has been sent. Instead, it will appear under the Notifications icon
  8. Select Time Zone, Date and Time for send
  9. Select who you would like to send your push notification to:
      1. All devices: this will send to all devices regardless of login status, profile type or category.
      2. Devices that are not logged in: target those attendees who may not have logged in yet. Attendees who have already logged into their profile will not receive this notification.
      3. Profiles of a given type: select which specific profiles types you would like to receive this notification.
      4. Profiles in one or more categories: select which push notification categories you would like to receive this notification.
      5. Profiles by filter: use the profile filter to send to a specific audience based on profiles types and fields. You can also preview the send list prior to sending.
  10. Click Save


To queue a push notification

Notifications can be queued to send at a later time and date. This is done during the process of creating the push notification, and if queued, can be changed at a later time before it sends.

To queue a push notification, when selecting the Time Zone, Date and Time, set the date and time into the future. Once a new date and time have been selected, an estimated time to notification send will appear. Ensure this is set to the future, and will not send immediately.

To edit a push notification

Notifications can be edited while they are queued.

  1. Navigate to App > Push Notifications from the Navigation Menu
  2. Click the Title of the relevant notification
  3. Make updates
  4. Click Save

To delete a push notification

Notifications can be deleted while they are queued or after they have been sent. If deleted after it has been sent, this will remove it from the list view in the App.

  1. Navigate to App > Push Notifications from the Navigation Menu
  2. Click the drop-down arrow for the relevant notification
  3. Click Delete
  4. Confirm by clicking Delete
